There are six professional rafting companies alongside Lao-nong River as shown below:

     > Baumay Rafting
     > Bolang Rafting
     > Dragon Rafting
     > Happy Rafting
     > Heroes Rafting
     > Laonong Rafting

Each of them provides helmets and life jackets, as well as experienced river guides to steer the raft, instruct rafters how and when to row, and save them if they fall out of the raft.

Notice before & during rafting

Before going on a rafting trip, make sure your health and swimming skill--in order to avoid getting in over your head! Getting wet from ears to toe is a certainty during rafting. However, knowing what things to bring with you can make the trip more comfortable.

We suggest you wear lightweight, quick-drying clothing, like T-shirt. Leave your loose-fitting shoes at home when you go rafting, and instead, wear tennis shoes to protect your feet in case you fall into the river. Rafting operators also provide so called "rafting shoes", each pair for NT$100.
Rivers will sweep away anything that isn't securely fastened, so wallets, keys, and jewelry should be left behind.  One sentence to keep in mind on a rafting trip is that "the river is always the boss." Respecting the power of the river is the key to a safe and pleasant rafting adventure. Wanna getting some whitewater thrills of your own? Just go rafting this summer!
