in Taiwan

     High mountains, deep canyons, and heavy rainfall make for ideal whitewater rafting, which is why rafters rave about Taiwan.

     For a truly breathtaking experience, take a trip down the Laonong River, located within Kaohsing county, 400 KM away from Taipei.

     Laonong River arises on the slopes of Mt. Jade, the highest mountain on this island, and has abundant water all year around. It's one of the best places for rafting in Taiwan.

     The extra rainfall greatly increases the river's speed and power. If you're worried that a river may be too challenging for you, then just consider its class. Class one rivers are calm, while class six rivers are extremely dangerous. Laonong River is relatively safe class four.
